We limit courses to 10 people to ensure maximum participation and skill
retention. Preparing speciality beverages in my own coffee shop has helped
me to understand that the consumer is becoming more and more educated and aware
of quality in the speciality coffee shops. Serving just one poorly prepared beverage
will result in the loss of a very valuable customer. WHY would you spend so much
time and money finding the perfect location, designing your look, selecting quality
coffee beans and marketing your business just to lose your customers as they walk
in the door
So
What separates the good from the bad Weak
from the strong Smooth from the bitter
? PROPER EDUCATION &
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
All too often coffee shops hire a new employee
and have them shadow their trainer. The glitch in the system is that the trainer
probably was not properly trained, so the mistakes and poor quality just continue
to multiply. By having your staff and all new employees attend the Espresso
101 Barista Basics course will guarantee that they have the basic fundamentals
in the science and technique of speciality drink preparation. What Ted Lingle,
Executive Director, Speciality Coffee Association of America, had to say:-
An excellent training resource designed to provide solid background information
on coffee as well as practical demonstrations on correct preparation of espresso-based
beverages." Espresso 101 has won several industry awards,
and once you complete the course, you will understand why." Shea
Sturdivant, The Coffee Associates - California. Course timetable for 2007:-
July
29th August
26th
Course times are from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm.
